Journal
Monday, October 15, 2007 1:27 PM CDT Well, it has been a long road. Michelle has just finished her last phase of Chemo. She took her last oral chemotherapy last Wednesday 10/10/07. And this morning Michelle had surgery to remove the port in her chest that they have been using to give her chemo.
It has been hard to update the website with our lives being so busy. Michelle, Johnny, and Mariah have kept us busy. Reiko, our Au Pair from Thailand, has been a great help. However, daily life has been very full. Mariah is now 2 and is trying hard to keep up with her big sister.
We have had to deal with very little side effects from the Chemo as far as health concerns. However, its impact on Michelle’s ability to concentrate has been significant. At times she figures out how to focus and does very well. Consistency and her ability to focus when she needs to will be our next challenge.
We are so thankful that she has made it through without the difficulty that we have seen other children go through. We hope and pray she stays in remission.
