We were thinking about you all today. I did get a message to Gail and she is trying to track down a good lyme specialist for Ariel. I gave her your email address and told her to put lyme in the subject and you would know it was from her. Hope you all had a good day.

Hi Linn, Daniel, Ariel, and Michael,

Thanks for signing my guestbook. I hope Ariel and Daniel are okay and aren't having as many seizures. I'm glad you all got to go bowling. I always liked going bowling. I hope you all get to go on your Disney trip. How is everything going with Ariel and the lyme test? I was wondering why the doctor prescribed prednisone. I hope everything comes back okay. I love the disney princesses too :) Ariel is one of my favorites.

Anyway, I hope you all have a good day :)

Much love,

Hi Linn, Hi Family,
Sheeesh, what a living nightmare you've been going thru! Bless your hearts!
Glad you made contact with your neuro and he's set things into motion (sorry it will be a yucky process, Ariel). Glad, too, that you've got an overseer now who's also in your court. Hopefully between the two, you all can get things turned around.
Glad you'll have Bret for 20 whole days before he's deployed. I know that'll be a relief for everyone....just to have your family unit intact again for a bit!

Wanted to stop in and wish you a Happy Father's Day! You have an amazing family (not news to you, grin) and have done a fabulous job of keeping things running behind the scenes.
Shhhhesh, Linn, you certainly have had a rough time of it. Sounds like a nightmarish few months! Hope this latest L.D. diagnosis will mean there's a course of action they can take to help get our Fantastic Princess on the mend.
Sorry to hear EVERYONE's been down, health wise. Sending TONS of love and support to both You, Daniel, and Michael, as well as to the entire clan.
Hope you have a special day together today, even with everyone being under the weather. And hope this next week proves to be far better than the last few have been.

I am so sorry about the Lyme Disease diagnosis. Since I have been battling this disease for years, my heart definitely goes out to you. Basically, it can mimic so many other diseases which means quite often it goes undiagnosed for many years. Five years in my case so a lot of damage was done. You definitely want to get on treatment before it spreads since it will spread to every organ and part of your body. Mine went neuro so I couldn't walk or talk. I have been on treatment almost three years now and it's been a rough bumpy road BUT it feels good everytime you can get a reversal. I never even SAW the tick that bit me. Most of us don't which is why we get so sick. My only real recommendation would be to go to a SPECIALIST in this field since sadly, if you get a positive lyme test, there are other co-infections as well and the average doctors including MOST infectious disease doctor's just aren't catching them. You want a doctor on the ILADS side. Have you seen the Lyme Documentary "Under Our Skin"? You can view the trailer at http://www.underourskin.com/movie.html
If you don't have quicktime and want to see a different trailer, there is also one at:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxWgS0XLVqw
Definitely NOT NOT NOT wanting to scare you in any way. Just saying that going to a specialist in this disease is making a huge difference in the ones that get better and the ones that have it come back shortly after treatment. I don't know how far progressed it is, which also makes a difference. Drop me an email if you are in need of Lyme specialists.

So thankful for the assurance we have in Christ! Praying hard right now!!!!!!
1 John 1:1-4 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

Hi guys I'm new here! And so happy to meet y'all!!!
I am so glad God led me to your site...My sons doctor is looking into VNS for him and we were told it works in 30% and I don't think thats a good percent!
In Feb 2009 a new seizure drug came out Banzel- look it up if you can.. My son started it in April...increase after increase it didn't work but it is a last option. Our next option which looks like very soon will be "rebooting" his brain. They'll put him in a coma and let his brain "rest" and then start him on lower doses of meds we know work like phenobarb..Thank God for phenobarb!
Praying you all have a super week!

We are asking the Lord to give you visible answers to your prayers for her, and for the medical staff to have compassion and wisdom to make the right decisions for her treatment, so keep asking God to stop these terrible seizures, and to protect her from any after effects from them. We will continue to pray for your whole family and check on your site for updates

I hope that Ariel starts feeling better soon. Epilepsy sucks and steals so much from our kids. When you read some journals and see people making more out of minor/mild issues- or creating issues where there are none- you wish they could walk just ONE day in our shoes. It is not fun or glorious watching your child convulse, or go through what Ariel is right now. ((((hugs)))

I'm so sorry to hear about the grand mal, but glad it's been awhile since Daniel has had a seizure. God bless America and keep us safe and free — Safe from all our enemies, wherever they may be... Teach us to walk humbly and closer in Thy ways, Give us faith and courage and put purpose in our days, Make each one of us aware that each must do his part, For in the individual is where peace must have its start — For a better world to live in where are all safe and free Must start with faith and hope and love deep in the heart of me. ~ HELEN STEINER RICE ~

There are times when only a Mother's love
Can understand our tears,
Can soothe our disappoints
And calm all of our fears.
There are times when only a Mother's love
Can share the joy we feel
When something we've dreamed about
Quite suddenly is real.
There are times when only a Mother's faith
Can help us on life's way
And inspire in us the confidence
We need from day to day.
For a Mother's heart and a Mother's faith
And a Mother's steadfast love
Were fashioned by the Angels
And sent from God above.

Thinking of you throughout the National Day of Prayer. Prayer is so simple. It is like quietly opening a door and slipping into the very presence of God. There, in the stillness, to listen for His voice, perhaps in petition or only to listen, it matters not. Just to be there,
in His presence, is prayer.

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Romans 12:12 (NIV)

Bless, O God, all who struggle with health concerns. Empower them with hope for each and every day. Provide them with loving and tender care, laughter, and the support of love. Grant them comfort when they are in pain, and your blessing when all else seems hopeless, that in their fight with illness they may continue to praise you and glorify your name. Amen. Hi Linn,
Glad you came away with some good ideas for teaching Ariel at this year's conference. That's marvelous.
A day at the beach sounds like just the cure for winter-time blues. Glad things are beginnning to warm up a bit around there! Yes, your Summer activities sound wonderful.
Glad Ariel was able to find so many good things for her Birthday Party at the Dollor store. Sometimes you really walk away feeling like you bought out the whole store...and yup, for pennies compared with most regular shopping. Well Done.
Please give my love to everyone, and keep some for yourself.
Luv Ya,

Isaiah 40:18-31
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Hi Family,
Just wanted to stop in and see how things are going, how the latest medical appointments have gone, how Daniel's seizures are doing, what the latest is with Ariel and Michael, what Nicholas' news is, how Bret's doing, how your breathing is, that sort of thing.
Not trying to be nosey. Just want you to know you matter and I'm concerned about you.
I'm sorry I can't do phones, as I imagine we could have some lovely chats. I miss that and hope there will be a way in the future to do that again.
Any special plans for Easter? Extended family coming, or are you all doing things quietly there at home?
You all take good care.

My husband quoted the first verse of this hymn in his sermon tonight. It's so very comforting! Praying!

1. I fall asleep in Jesus' wounds,
There pardon for my sins abounds;
Yea, Jesus' blood and righteousness
My jewels are, my glorious dress.
In these before my God I'll stand
When I shall reach the heavenly land.

2. With peace and joy I now depart;
God's child I am with all my heart.
I thank thee, Death, thou leadest me
To that true life where I would be.
So cleansed by Christ, I fear not death.
Lord Jesus, strengthen Thou my faith

Valentine treasures are people who have often crossed your mind, family, friends and others, too, who in your life have shined the warmth of love or a spark of light that makes you remember them; no matter how long since you’ve actually met, each one is a luminous gem who gleams and glows in your memory, bringing special pleasures, and that’s why this Valentine comes to you: You’re one of those sparkling treasures!

And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Daniel Ariel & All: Happy end of Jan. here is a bit of Groundhog history/facts for youImage and video hosting by TinyPic The legend of Groundhog Day (Feb. 2nd) is based on an old saying: "If Candlemas Day is bright and clear, there'll be two winters in the year." The Groundhog determines if spring is just around the corner, or if the weather will take a turn for the worse. The prediction is based on whether or not he can see his shadow.
People think SUN= shadow = cold wintry conditions for another 6 weeks.
CLOUDY= no shadow = milder conditions, thus SPRING is on the way.

Hello Daniel, Ariel, Michael, Dad and Nicholas,
Figured you all could use a bit of a reminder of Spring about now!
Hope you're staying snug and warm (and dry)and finding good things to do, both inside and out during these cold winter days.
I remember I used to love to spray my snowladies with food-coloring & water, to "dress" them up! And to write fun messages in the snow for my friends to wake up to in the morning. I'd go on "secret missions" and leave lil pictures outside windows and such. Another thing I enjoyed doing was finding unusal ways to "dress them up". I put a basket instead of a hat on one snowman, and the shape looked like a fantastic crown. This snowman had TWO faces. One facing the window of some sick children, the other facing the road for everyone else to see. It was great fun. Imagine you're creating all sorts of fantastic creatures in the snow!
From the looks of things, your wagon MIGHT need tire-chains! Lol

A brand new year stands before us. Sometimes a new year is very hard to face. Other times a new year is welcomed with open arms, with hopes that it will be better than the last one was. However you look at it, know that every day of this new year is in the Lord's Hands. He's already there waiting for you with open arms. And I'm here praying as always.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

A New Year Blessing Especially for You,
May the road you walk be a smooth one,
May your troubles be few — if any,
May the days and years that lie ahead
Be healthy, happy, and many,
May you have friends in abundance,
May the sun shine bright around you.
May the world be a wonderful place to live,
And may God's love always surround you.

A New Year’s Prayer

May God make your year a happy one!
Not by shielding you from all sorrows and pain,
But by strengthening you to bear it, as it comes;
Not by making your path easy,
But by making you sturdy to travel any path;
Not by taking hardships from you,
But by taking fear from your heart;
Not by granting you unbroken sunshine,
But by keeping your face bright, even in the shadows;
Not by making your life always pleasant,
But by showing you when people and their causes need you most,
and by making you anxious to be there to help.
God’s love, peace, hope and joy to you for the year ahead.

Happy New Year!

God Bless!

We huddle by the fire on this bitter cold night,
Enjoying hot cocoa by the warm fire light.

While the smells of a feast fill this rickety old shack,
Icy winds whistle as they dance through the cracks.
Surrounded with blankets, sweet carols we sing,
Happily awaiting what this Christmas will bring.

You won't find any presents 'neath our skimpy tree.
Ornaments are hand-made and so is our wreath.
Under limp mistletoe, mom gives dad a kiss,

Atmosphere of joy and love

Merry Christmas to all of you.
Everyone here at our house is thinking of you.
Remember Christ loves you, no matter your worth.
Revel in the illuminating joy of His birth.
Your love is the only gift He'll ever ask.

Celebrate His life and in His light you'll bask.
Holiday giving and the spread of good cheer,
Really is something we could keep up all year.
Imagine a world where it was Christmas each day,
Sounds hard to do, but it could be that way.
This is our Christmas wish for all of you tonight--
May His warmth surround you like a blanket of light.
All your wishes be granted with His blessings of love,
Sent special delivery from the Angels above.

Holidays can be hard for so many different reasons. Saying extra prayers right now.
Colossians 3:15-17 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

As I start my Day
When I wake and see the Light
I thank Him for another day.
Help me Lord, to see and do things Your way.
I start my day thanking Him for Loving me.
I speak to Him as A dear dear friend, as a brother and a shield.
He is my comfort and my Light.
My day ends, He helps me know, with Him by my side the world becomes real wide, to explore and to think,
I will run and tell Jesus, with Him I am not weak.

Know that I'm praying!
Romans 8:26-27 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

It's Sunday and once again we read an amazing passage at church. Going to share the first few verses because they really hit home. Praying right now!
Psalms 86:1-7 Bow down thine ear, O LORD, hear me: for I am poor and needy. Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee. Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily. Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications. In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.

Psalms 116:1-5 I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live. The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow. Then called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul. Psalms 121:1-8 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

Lamentations 3:21-26 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

2 Samuel 22:29-33 For thou art my lamp, O LORD: and the LORD will lighten my darkness. For by thee I have run through a troop: by my God have I leaped over a wall. As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God? Hymns have been going through my head all day for some reason. This one is long so I'm only doing the first half but oh it's special. Continuing to pray so very hard!

1. Abide with me! Fast falls the eventide;
The darkness deepens; Lord with me abide.
When other helpers fail and comforts flee,
Help of the helpless, oh, abide with me!

2. Swift to its close ebbs out life's little day;
Earth's joys grow dim, its glories pass away;
Change and decay in all around I see.
O Thou, who changest not, abide with me!

3. Not a brief glance I beg, a passing word,
But as Thou dwell'st with Thy disciples, Lord,
Familiar, condescending, patient, free.
Come not to sojourn, but abide with me.

4. Come not in terror, as the King of kings,
But kind and good, with healing in Thy wings;
Tears for all woes, a heart for every plea.
Come, Friend of sinners, thus abide with me.

Photobucket Hi Daniel, Ariel, Everybody!
I've really enjoyed reviewing all the pictures at your site this evening. Some of them have some fun humor in them I missed the first time around. That's sooo cool. Each of you take the challenges of your world and turn them around in such a way that you're able to continue Celebrating life. That is sooooo awesome! You're great folks.
Mostly wanted to pop in and say Hi and let you know I'm thinking of you....before this move takes over and important people get lost in the rush. There will be a few days when I won't have internet access, but hopefully that'll be minimal.
Hard to plan when someone else is dictating the timing. (Sadly, you understand LOTS about this one, Linn. Bless you.) Once the apartment it finished they'll say: Move today, and I've got 3 days from that moment on to get everything moved and this place clean, so my deposit goes with me. But, I'm ready for it. And I'll have help. (Who that help ends up being, depends on when I get the word it's time to go). Everything's pretty much packed, except for the things I use every day.
Have actually found myself enjoying this interum...it's been a wonder-filled time of reflection, gratitude and just a quiet time to pause and enjoy the blessings that have been mine along life's way. A good time to say goodbye to old things, while preparing to welcome new ones.
Anyway, I'm thinking of you and sending lots of warm support your way. Hope you're managing to balance fun with keeping cool in this hotter weather. Hope everyone's health has stayed on an even keel and you've just really had some time to play.
Take care everybody! Luv Ya.

Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be wear, and they shall walk, and not faint.

God is a mighty God and He is still performing miracles. I pray that God will pour out an abundance of miracles on Kate. My heart aches at what each of you must be going through, but as a Christian, I know that God is there for you. I pray that God gives each of you strength. The verse I have included has helped me over the years. Each time I read it, I feel God's mighty arms around me and I know through Him all things are possible. May each of you find the strength you need through God and through His love and the love of your family, friends, and fellow Christians.

Glad you're having fun this summer and getting a bit of time off from MAJOR health problems. You're due for a FULL break, but hey, we'll take "nothing major" for starters! .
Hope you all have a splendid week.
Lots of love and warm support,

2 Corinthians 12:8-10 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

We sang this hymn in church this morning and I wanted to share it. Am still here praying!
"My Hope is Built on Nothing Less"
by Edward Mote, 1797-1874

1. My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus' blood and righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus' name.
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand.

2. When darkness veils His lovely face,
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale
My anchor holds within the veil.
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand.

3. His oath, His covenant, and blood
Support me in the whelming flood;
When every earthly prop gives way,
He then is all my Hope and Stay.
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand.

4. When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh, may I then in Him be found,
Clothed in His righteousness alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne!
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand.

Psalms 130:1-8 Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD. Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared. I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning. Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption. And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

Happy Belated Birthday Aerial! Linn!! I'm so sorry about the ordeal you and poor Daniel had to put up with in the ER...I don't know why it continues to amaze me that there are health field individuals that have no compassion and in some cases..knowledge and yet they are treating patients!! That poor child! And to have a nurse say she did not believe Daniels pain threshold?!!!! She should be written up...there just isn't any excuse. Many of our children have actually high thresholds..so when they say 10..it's more like 15 for the average person! As a parent I know this is so frustrating and infuriating! Hopefully you were able to let the right people know about such poor treatment! Meanwhile..prayers for Daniel's recovery and for his blood pressure to stabilize...hugs to you Linn and I hope you all enjoy your Memorial Day weekend!

For You, On Mother's Day

The value of a life is best measured by the moments
spent giving one's self - sharing wisdom,
inspiring hope, wiping tears, and touching hearts.

Job 19:25-27 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.

Isaiah 49:13-16a Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted. But Zion said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me. Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands...

Just stopping in with a bit of Spring, to help encourage it to burst forth in full bloom there. Bless you. Snow's wonderful but shesh, me'thinks it's time for you all to have some brightly colored flowers, yes? Yes!
Glad you enjoyed the Homeschoolers Conference. That's marvelous. Yup, we all need to be reminded why we've made the choices we have, so we can "fall in love with them" all over again!
Hope you've got fewer appointments this week.
Ariel, a small manilla packet is on it's way to you for your Birthday. Hope you like it. (I had fun making it). And, you've got a slew of Birthday cards on their way as well: 1 for every year!

Hi! I was drawn to your story...not because of my child having similar issues to Daniel, but me! I actually went through almost the same situation. A major car accident gave me a traumatic brain injury 10 yrs ago. I spent over a year going through cognitive rehab to relearn basic reading and "thinking". Then came the seizures...both the grand mal and complex partial.. I was also on all types of epilepsy meds. I still have trouble with my "word finding" and multi tasking, but for the most part have recovered pretty well. (and being a mom of a teenage girl and a baby born with heart defects I have actually gotten pretty good at multi-tasking!) I will continue to check in and pray for healing for that sweet boy! I know it is a frustrating thing to "all of a sudden" not be functioning where he was before. It took some good therapy for me to stop mourning the loss of the "old me"! Please feel free to visit our site!

Big hugs!

Hi Daniel, Ariel, Mom-Linn, Michael and Family,
Just wanted to stop by and see if there was any news, and am delighted to discover there is indeed!
Delighted that the Neuro appointment went so well (bless you for all the footwork you did in prep, making copeis of everything and such). Yup, I agree, even tho this list is loooong, none of it explains the decrease in congitive impairment (tho long term seizures have been known to play havoc in that area for some people, depends on exactly where they're located). Bless you a multitude of times over.
I do indeed hope that everyone involved in Daniel's poor care get written up on their perminent files!
Glad you're healing steadily, Daniel.
Hope that switch in meds does the trick, Michael. It's NO FUN being depressed, especially when it's a side effect of a med.
Ariel, I'm hoping you have reasons to dance and Celebrate life today, kiddo. You've been such an amazing trouper thru all of this, and you certainly deserve a mini-vacation (which is what I consider dancing and laughing to be).
Add a black and white dog and 2 parakeets to the above picture, and you've got an idea what it looks like to be lifted up in Prayer-Songs.
Luv Ya Lots,

Hi, I am sorry I havent been here in a while. I thank you for always be constant visitor for Katie Rose.
As I read your post today I could totally relate to what you wrote, and I feel it could have been written by me. It is normal to have those feelings, I think in my case my family couldnt deal with the fact that there are real issues and its easier for them to ignore thinking it might go away, it is hard when I could use there support and I am sure you feel the same way with your family. I leanred to not expect anything and if I heard from them it was a suprize so I wouldnt be as hurt.
You are a great Mom and a great advocate for Ariel and I am sure you will eventally get the answers you need, dont give up! (I know you wont)

Unfortunatly, that's not a unique situation. Wish it were, for then it might be easier to change. There are some awesome folks out there, but FINDING them is a challene and takes more time and energy than most healthy folks with normal schedules have, not to mention being in yours. Almost insurmountable, but I'm hoping not. I do see some support here at your site (wish there were TONS more), as you certainly deserve it.
I'm continuing to pray for an excellent Doctor with superb follow thru and excellent, reliable connections, as well as a true friend for Ariel.
I'd love to do one of the "changing shoes" program for your local church, scools and clubs...it helps open up kid's eyes, and awakens the latent compassion that really is there, burried deep beneath the TV, video game, instant everything garbage!
Glad you felt free to vent here.
Sending much love and warm support, as always.

I am sorry to hear about the issues you been having. There is a support group for kids without diagnosis (SWAN - Syndromes Without A Name). I wish Washington State was more supportive of kids who dont have firm dx. About 30% of kids do not have one, remember you are not alone.

When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. I love all the new back to school Disney pictures, they are GREAT!

It is a shame in this great country we live in that we have to fight for medical procedures and choose what we can have and give our children for their HEALTH and well-being because we can't afford what they need. Insurance has gotten so bad it is beyond an embarrassment! Praying for a solution for you.

Also praying for Ariel to have some answers for all that is going on with her. I really DO relate to that and I am praying you have the answers to help her soon.
