Christmas '07 - Matt, Lisa, Kaitlyn~(15) Nathan~(12) Thomas~(8) and Chester, our dog.
More photos on the "view photos" tab above!

Welcome to Nathan and Thomas' web page. It has been provided to keep family and friends updated about their bone marrow transplants that took place on April 15,2005 at Duke University Hospital in N.C. Their sweet sister, Kaitlyn, was the donor for both! We are excited about this curing their primary immune deficiency, X-linked Hyper IgM (XHIM). Thank you for visiting our page...your prayers and guestbook entries continue to carry us through this journey.

We dedicate this page in memory of these priceless children that we have met or come to know of during this BMT experience. You will never be forgotten....AJ, Alexia, Asher, Ashley, Bailey, Benjy, Bryce A., Bryce W., Cody, Daphne, Deondra, Donovan, Emma, Folden, Frannie, Ian, Jana, Jashaia, Jillian, Joseph, Josh, Kameron, Karri, Kaylee, Keturah, Kelly, Lane, Lexi, Maddie, Maddy, Makayla, Mason, Micah, baby Micah, Morgan, Olivia, Ryan S., Ryan H., Sara, Shane, Sherilyn, Shreya, Taylor, Tommy, Tyler, Varun and Zoe. You are greatly missed and loved. We are praying for your families.

(under construction)

Be a hero ~ save a life by donating blood, platelets, bone marrow and cord blood! Nathan & Thomas have received life-giving blood products for their whole lives, up until approximately 6 months post BMT. If you are a donor, we are eternally grateful!

Our friend Conner had a BMT on Aug. 17 for an immunodeficiency called NEMO. Please keep he and his family in your prayers as they travel this journey toward a cure.

The kids are Star Wars fanatics!!!

Chester, our Corgi.

Superchick ~ We Live

There's a cross on the side of the road
Where a mother lost a son
How could she know that the morning he left
Would be the last time she'd trade with him for a little more time
So she could say she loved him one last time
And hold him tight
But with life we never know
When we're coming up to the end of the road
So what do we do then
With tragedy around the bend?

We live we love
We forgive and never give up
Cuz the days we are given are gifts from above
And today we remember to live and to love

We live we love
We forgive and never give up
Cuz the days we are given are gifts from above
And today we remember to live and to love

There's a man who waits for the tests
To see if the cancer has spread yet
And now he asks, "So why did I wait to live till it was time to die?"
If I could have the time back how I'd live
Life is such a gift
So how does the story end?
Well this is your story and it all depends
So don't let it become true
Get out and do what we were meant to do

We live we love
We forgive and never give up
Cuz the days we are given are gifts from above
And today we remember to live and to love

We live we love
We forgive and never give up
Cuz the days we are given are gifts from above
And today we remember to live and to love

Waking up to another dark morning
People are mourning
The weather in life outside is storming
But what would it take for the clouds to break
For us to realize each day is a gift somehow, someway?
So get our heads up out of the darkness
And spark this new mindset and start to live life cuz it ain't gone yet
And tragedy is a reminder to take off the blinders
And wake up and live the life we're supposed to take up
Moving forward with all our heads up cuz life is worth living

We live we love
We forgive and never give up
Cuz the days we are given are gifts from above
And today we remember to live and to love

(Somehow this didn't go on the front page when I posted it a week ago.)

Hi, everybody!

I know it's been a LONG time since I've updated.....there's not much to report, except boring NORMAL stuff, since the boys are cured, on no meds and not needing any medical help....PRAISE GOD!!!!!! We're staying busy with school, church, friends and family....and Little League just started.

The boys' BMT anniversary is coming next month....it'll be 3 YEARS! Thank you to all who've supported us through the hard times....it's so good to be on this side, looking back with awe and wonder that we got through it. Jesus carried us on the wings of people's prayers.

We hope all is well with your family. Our Duke friends remain in our hearts and prayers.

By the way, Kaitlyn changed the video and song for me above.....check it out!

Living, loving, forgiving & never giving up~
Lisa

P.S. Have a Happy Easter soon! Be sure to celebrate Jesus, Who gives life to all who will believe.
