Wednesday, January 30, 2008 10:13 AM CST I guess it has been a while since I last updated. Not much to report other than Jordan is doing well.
It is so great to have a fairly "normal" life. Jordan is in school and loving it. He hates it when he misses a day of school for some reason. Not only does he get behind in his work, but I think he quite enjoys being there. High School has been fun for him. He is now filming all of the basketball games. It is good for him to be involved in sports and with the kids, everyone is so good to him.
On the medical front. Jordan has been doing well, we go to the doctor every six weeks or so. We have also been seeing a kidney doctor. Jordan's kidneys are not good. It has been hard for me to accept this, but he is stable now and we are happy for that. We pray that he is stable for a long, long time. All the medication and crap during transplant has affected the kidneys. I guess we should have expected that because of all he went through during transplant and all the different medicines that he was on. We see the kidney doctor every four-six months. That is good.
We are busy keeping up with everything. But we are happy that we can and that there are not as many hospital stays and doctor appointments.
We still pray for our many friends out there that we have met along the way and for all the other FA patients out there. It is such a journey and it is good to know there are those who know exactly what we are going through. Jordan has had a cough and I just hate when he gets anything. It just makes me worry. But he is getting over it now and doing well.
Thanks for continuing to check on Jordan. We are so thankful for his health at this point.
