Brenna Augat
Thanks for visiting Brenna's page. She was diagnosed with an inoperable Pilocytic Astrocytoma brainstem tumor in April 2002. We went the conventional route, with no success, and chose to do a more integrative/natural approach. After only 1 year, we got it to shrink. From constant nausea and begin immobile, she was very weak and somewhat atrophied. She had trouble breathing and the radiation damaged her esophagus impairing her swallow. We were just getting her back to physical health in Jan., 2006, when RSV and another anoxic episode set her back throughout the whole year. She began school at South Hills Jr. High and was earning her usual straight A's. She moved us to a beautiful home in a great neighborhood that was wheelchair accessible in August 2006. Shortly thereafter, she was gaining her strength back and was going to school without her oxygen. Then, quite by surprise, she chose to return to her Heavenly Father. She simply slipped away during the night when her bi-pap fell off. We know she is so happy doing all the things her physical body wouldn't allow and we are very happy for her. But we will always keep her in our hearts and look forward to the day we will hold her in our arms again as an eternal family.
