Brendon Kade Farmer

Welcome to Brendon's website. It was created to keep you updated while Brendon undergoes treatment for his Leukemia. He was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (blood cancer) on July 1, 2004 and is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center to fight this terrible disease. He is responding well and continues to keep a positive attitude daily. Please continue to keep him in your prayers.
"My son is my hero!"

Blood and platelets are always needed for Brendon and hundreds of kids like him! Please feel free to go to any blood bank and donate in his name. You need his full name and DOB (05/14/01). Your help is appreciated!

Journal

hello everyone! its been so long since i've updated.... new info is long overdue. let's see- brendon is having a wonderful summer! most of his days are filled with playing with his new puppy (a beagle name bagel), playing legos, and working on workbooks. he's also reading a lot because he wants to get a trophy for the summer reading program at the local library. his daily 2 week "intense" swimming lessons are over and he is now going twice a week and making real progress!! he actually enjoys them now which is a blessing in itself. he's had several playdates and even a couple sleepovers with friends and cousins. he has a fishing trip planned next week with his grampa and a trip to the water park the week after with several buddies. one could conclude he's a pretty happy little boy.

he had his monthly appt at the hospital last month and all looks well medically. it was strange going back for the first time knowing there was no way we would run into his dear friend, armani, but brendon and i talked and both agreed that she is enjoying herself much more in Heaven than she ever would in a silly 'ol hospital! we go again in august and then go once every 3 months for the next year.

thanks as always for checking in on us. we appreciate all the prayers for brendon's continued good health and happiness!!!!

hugs,
sarah

http://members.aol.com/sunnyasalways/SUNNYSHESMYSON.html   This beautiful song pretty much says it all. I heard it on one of Brendon's little friend's websites and it brought tears to my eyes! Someone wrote a song just for me and my sweet child!I couldn't have written it better myself.
