Saturday, February 25, 2006 7:12 AM CST I know a typical out of date caringbridge site.
It has been quite a long time since I have typed in here.(May to be exact). We are doing great!!!Enjoying everyday of life. We had a great summer. Boating and camping. Fall started us back up into our racing season. Kyle ended up finishing 8th overall in his class!!!!YEAH KYLE!!!Of course his dad thought he should have been in the top 5. But is happy with 8th. Justin did race in the last race and ended up finishing 4th. I was very pleased with them this being thier first year of competitive racing. Most of the races ended up being so muddy. I think it rained for every one of them. School has been a little more of a challange this year. We did have Kyle tested and he now has an IEP in place. Hopefully things will get better as we are seeing an improvement already. We went to see a dermatologist the end of Jan. It was on his 5yr anniversary exactly. He had a spot on the back of his neck that I wasn't comfortable with. They did a biopsy and it came back baasel cell. They removed it and did an exam on him. They did not find anything else but we have to go back every three months for a strip search.Just when everything seemed to be back to normal all around. A bit of reality hits you that this is never over and you can never let your guard down. Not even for a minute. The growth hormones seem to be working. He is now in the 10%.I think he has grown around 6inches in thirteen months and gained eight or nine pounds. They are going to switch us to a new kind. It is not supposed to burn when injected. This made him very happy as I have been having a real hard time with him the last month. We are now preparing to leave for FL to start of the 2006 racing season. We are staying for a week as we are heading to GA after Fl for the next race. hopefully we will have several top five finishes. Well I think that is it in a nutshell. Maybe I will post a little sooner next time. Thanks for all the continued love and support. It is always felt deep in the heart. Please continue to pray for Kyle as this battle is never over. Sometimes we just fool ourselves into thinking that it is.
ALL OUR LOVE, The Hellyers Dave,Kelly,Justin and Kyle
