We have started it to keep you updated on how Savannah is doing. Savannah has Cystic Fibrosis, Mild Cerebral Palsy and Secondary Carnitine Deficiency. She is a very friendly girl, but due to her illness she isn't allowed to go out much. She has been in the hospital over 50 times and takes numerous medications daily. She was homebound most of the school year. We are looking at ways to brighten her days. Savannah has an older sister Miranda (18) and an older brother Danny (23).
If you would like to send a card or a letter to Savannah, you can send her mail at: Savannah R. PO Box 140471 Broken Arrow, OK. 74014
Savannah's favorite color is pink. She really likes anything Barbie. Due to her asthma we don't do anything with scents. She likes Precious Moments and animals but again due to breathing problems no pets allowed.

Wednesday, August 20, 2008 11:16 PM CDT Hello Everyone,
Savannah had to be fitted into a doctor appointment today. She just hasn't been feeling well and has been feeling quite worn down.
I had taken her in for her sputum culture a couple of weeks ago (her doctor was out of town) and since I didn't hear anything I assumed that we would need to repeat it. Well, we see her doctor and he informs us she had cultured a bug and will be started on an antibiotic. I asked why we were not called and he had no answer. This is so frustrating!!!
Also we talked about how hard it is to get an appointment. Her doctor told me if I get the run around to call after hours and check to see if he is on call. If so I am to page him.
Savannah has already missed one and half days of school from being ill. Hopefully this antibiotic will kick in soon.
I appreciate all the good thoughts and prayers.
Take Care, Julie (Savannah's Mom)
