Journal

I CAN DO EVERYTHING THROUGH HIM WHO GIVES ME STRENGTH (PHIL 4:13) My scripture that I claimed on many occasions.

This will be the last entry for Abbie’s CB page. She is approaching her August 2 anniversary that changed our lives forever eleven years ago (1996) and then again with a relapse in November 2003. We really appreciate everything the Caring Bridge website has had to offer. It was a place where I could journal and keep track of what has transpired with her life and health care issues. A place where she can see the challenges that she faced and battles won. A place where we all got inspiration from the guestbook entries on those not so good days and the good days too. This site was "free" for us to use but it depends upon donations to keep it going so if you ever need a tax write off this is a wonderful place to donate to!

Abbie’s one year off treatment date since her relapse was in March 2007....wow, an entire year off treatment. You think the day will not come soon enough when she will stop the chemo. Now it has been over an entire year. When being told the length of time my daughter would be on chemo again, I felt it was not possible. How could she survive all those toxic chemicals again for such a long time? And yet, it was those very toxic chemicals that saved her life. That, of course, and God’s will.

We are very proud of all she has accomplished. We plan on keeping her page “up” for others who may be facing challenges as she has. To give hope to those just entering the cancer world that there can be a happy ending.

With all praise, glory, and honor given to our Heavenly Father.

Also a big thank you to several of our faithful prayer warriors who are now in heaven: Grandma Fern, and Grandma Ruth and loving friend and neighbor Dot.....keep watching over Abbie and speak to God to let her someday be a mother and grandma too!

We continue to welcome prayers and we will check her website guest book from time to time so please feel free to leave Abbie some words of encouragement....God Bless!
