CaringBridge, a Minnesota-based nonprofit providing free websites that connect people experiencing a significant health challenge to family and friends, recently promoted Sami Pelton to vice president of program strategy.
In her new role, Pelton leads and manages all aspects of program strategy. She executes and sets strategic direction for the product development lifecycle to ensure CaringBridge continues to fulfill its mission. Pelton began working with CaringBridge in 2002 as a charter board member, helping to provide guidance to the nonprofit. She has held various leadership positions in the growing organization. She holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota and has more than 20 years of experience developing and managing technology solutions that are useful and people-friendly.
"Sami brings a deep knowledge of CaringBridge from her experiences as a founding board member, long time staff member and someone who has benefited from CaringBridge as an author and visitor," said Sona Mehring, CaringBridge founder and CEO. "Her professional background in product development ensures the CaringBridge programs provide tremendous impact to those we serve."
