Welcome To Joey Wynn's Webpage

Joey bird hunting Sept 08

Joey Wynn was diagnosed with leukemia (AML) on August 25th, 2001. He spent several months at Children's Hospital in Seattle for treatment, which included a bone marrow transplant he had late December 2001. (THANKS TO BROTHER LOGAN!)
Joey was in remission until November 14th, 2002. He returned to Seattle for treatment & had his second BMT in January of 2003. Joey is currently in remission and continues outpatient treatment through Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle.
Check back again soon as we'll keep updates on Joey's progress posted on the website.

Joey saw how cool all the other caringbridge kid's guestmaps were, so we've got him his own. Please take a minute or two to sign it!

Wow, so much time has passed, no updates means no bad news. Joey is all involved in his first season of hunting which has kept him busy and he is a natural. He has bagged four ducks (with one shot)then on to his first antelope and yesterday a 5 point muley buck! A huge one and a great shot, after field dressing they moved on to get Logan a chance at his first buck which he did! He is still packing the horns around and grinning from ear to ear. We have pictures but I'll have to get Aubrey to post them as I am not proficient in doing that.
Joey is doing pretty good, he has lost alot of weight from a stomach virus that we all recovered from in a couple of days, not so with him so he battled it for several days and was well enough to hunt yesterday. He goes to Great Falls on Tuesday for growth hormone assessment, so far he is growing on his own and hasn't received any shots so we'll see what Tuesday brings.
Logans football team remained undefeated again this year, it will be fun to watch these boys grow up and see what they can accomplish in the years to come...!
Ellennah is growing and very girly, has to go through about ten outfits a day before she is happy. She drives Amber crazy with her "tude" but she is in my opinion as sweet and cute as can be, she looks like a Shirley Temple.
Jay is into Pokeman big time and trades cards at school all the time. All is well at the Wynn family and we are gratefull for that.
Shayla Dunlap has relapsed with CML and is in Seattle to begin treatment, best wishes to her, her sis is a perfect match so if she has to bone marrow transplant again she'll be there again like Logan was for Joey.
I had to opportunity to speak with the father of a boy from Tn. that is battling cancer, his site is www.caringbridge.org/visit/tylertankersley so stop by and give your support to this much loved boy and his family. His father was amazing and loves his son deeply.
Thats all for now, I should get back into the routine of updating so we can all watch the Wynn family grow....I'll try. Later-Janna
