Ashley Lauren Snyder
Ashley's web page has been created to honor Ashley, and to allow friends and family to be up to date with Ashley's Wilms cancer treatments, checkups, tests, and personal life. Ashley was diagnosed in May, 2004, Wilms Stage II, Favorable Histology, with a large tumor on her left kidney. Surgery to remove the kidney and tumor showed that the cancer was contained in the tumor and hadn't spread. Ashley underwent chemo treatments until October. Scans clear, and in remission. On her first follow up appointment in January, 2005, Ashley had a recurrence of the Wilms on her lung in the form of a 2 cm. spot. She will be undergoing intense chemotherapy for at least the next 6 months. Please pray for our precious little angel.

Thursday, September 25, 2008 12:26 AM CDT Hello from Ashley, and Melissa Snyder Ashley is doing very well, she was three years cancer free in July. Beau (Ashley's father) and I went back to Seattle with Ashley this last July, and they gave her a huge onceover, or TEN times over. They looked at Ashley's heart, because of the chemo that she was given. Ashley's heart functioned great!! Ashley's one very strong, larger than average kidney also looked great. Ashley's lung looked great!! We were so nervous, but positive, and after a lot of stress, were given the best news possible. Our FAITH, friends, family, and a lot of winged messengers continue to keep our family moving in the right direction. Please keep up hope for all fighting this fight, and please keep us in your prayers. THANKS! Melissa, and Ashley
