Usually, I would be writing to tell everyone the latest from the doctor's office. This Tuesday has not been typical but few days have been since Morgan came into our lives.
We will miss Morgan in so many ways. Her beautiful smile with her tongue sticking out, the way she would chatter to us, the way she would reach out and gently stroke our faces, the way she would play with my hair, and the way her face would light up when Kalie and Ashley were around. These are just some of the things we will miss. However, Morgan taught us so many important things in life.
One of them is that there are wonderful and kind people in this world. So many times we have been told we are so strong. The strength we have been able to show has not come from within, but it has come from the people God has surrounded us with. There have been so many great people to lean on, to send words of encouragement, to take care of Morgan, as well as ourselves, while at St. Mary's and Children's Mercy and so many people who have given with their time, generosity and acts of kindness.
We will never be able to thank all of you for what you have done, but so many individuals and groups in so many ways assisted in helping us stay "strong" and helped us to enjoy our time with our sweet angel without worrying about the "little things".
In a world which shows despair and violence on the evening news, these trying months have shown us all this world is actually full of true goodness and love. Although we may never know the reason Morgan was only allowed to be with us for such a short time, she has truly taught us all many lessons.
Thanks to all, love and prayers, Kent, Alena & Girls
