Journal

Wow! I haven’t updated this since May! Where has the time gone? Jordan is doing great. She has finished up her first quarter of third grade and has all A’s and B’s. She loves her teacher this year. Mrs. Chance really gets Jordan’s sarcastic sense of humor and genuinely likes her, which is not always the case. She had a sub in her room last week and that sub did not like Jordan at all. Their personalities just did not mesh well, so it was a long day for Jordan and unfortunately the sub. She is really growing up. It is hard to believe it was 4 years ago that she was diagnosed. So much has changed in our lives since then. The biggest being the divorce. I think we are still adjusting to that one. But it seems to be settling into somewhat of a routine. She has decided on her Halloween costume for the third time. Fist she was going to be Santa, then she changed it to a bride and now she is going to follow Dawson and be his vice president candidate, Sarah Palin. Dawson is going as McCain. He wanted to be Nixon (his favorite president) but had to settle for McCain. Dawson is a staunch republican at the ripe old age of 10. He wrote a letter to McCain and informed him, and I quote: “I am a republican. I was grown a republican and I will live a republican life.” That is so funny since I am more in the middle than anything. He cracks me up. He is doing great as well. Enjoying 4th grade and loves going to his Quest (gifted) program at school. Amanda is 14 and a half. I can’t believe she will driving with a permit next summer. She is 5’7, maybe 5’8 and is absolutely beautiful. I hear that all the time from people that have not seen her in a while. Her grades are good this year, all a’s, b’s and 2 c’s. Not the best, since I know she is capable of better, but I won’t complain. She is pretty easy teenager so far. So that is pretty much it. I probably won’t update again until Jordan’s next scans, so be safe and have a wonderful Halloween and Thanksgiving. Thanks for checking in on Jordan and I am so thankful there is no big news to be reporting. I sure don’t miss those days.

Charelne
