Kyle's Page July 19, 2000-March 8, 2006 Our Sweet Angel
Welcome to our website! This page is so everyone can keep updated on Kyle and our family we also did this to show love, support, and understanding to all who have been touched by cancer. Kyle is 5, and was diagnosed on January 7, 2004, with stage IV Wilms cancer, he has had his left kidney removed, left testicle, and spots from his lung. Kyle has had numerous chemo treatments, and 24 rounds of radiation, Kyle relapsed while on treatment, and started a stem cell transplant on October 4th. On August 9th, 2005 we found out that Kyle's cancer has relapsed for the second time, we will be trying experimental therapy, the doctors don't give Kyle much of a chance but they don't realize the faith we have in Kyle and the lord, that should be able to kill any cancer!!! After trying experiemental therapy we found out that Kyle's tumor had grown, we are trying chemo to relieve pain and praying very hard that Kyle gets a MIRACLE. We tried more therapy in December of 05, and Kyle got Neuro toxicity, even though the chemo shrunk the tumor and we had surgery to remove it a week later more tumors showed up in his lungs, we have decided to give Kyle the best gift and let him be a little boy again, he is done with treatment and we pray we have a good amount of time left with our amazing little boy!!!! Kyle passed away on March 8th we will miss him dearly!!!!

Monday, May 26, 2008 7:12 PM CDT First I want to thank all who have fought for our country and all of you parents who have children gone now, our hearts are with you.
These past 2 weeks have been a bit of an emotional roller coaster ride, our oldest child and only daughter Ashley, just graduated from high school, the week before we were at the State track meet out in Des Moines at Drake Stadium, it was the 3rd year in a row Ashley made it to state, their 4X100 meter relay team placed at state and broke the school record, we will miss seeing her run on the Blue track. Saturday evening was Graduation, watching her sing, getting her diploma, and walking her flower back to Mike and I, was very emotional. As we were sitting at commencement, I was flashing back over the years, the first time getting on the bus, the field trips, the kisses good night, the family vacations, all the volleyball and basketball games, weekend tournaments, all the track meets in 40 degree weather and all the wonderful dance routines, chorus, swing choir and play, watching her go from a chubby little girl, to a skinny tomboy with braces, to a beautiful woman inside and out. The things she has accomplished, and overcome are more than anyone will ever know and by the turnout of her graduation party was definitely proof of the person she has become we could not be prouder parents and feel very lucky we were able to witness all these years. Kyle would have loved the party and I believe he played a part in giving us good weather when the forecast did not look so good. So this journal entry is for you Ashley, we love you, are proud of you, you are a wonderful daughter and sister, cousin, friend, granddaughter etc... And remember you always have an angel looking out for you. Mom and dad
